What is HDPE?
HDPE, or High-density polyethylene, is a heavy thermoplastic engineered from recyclable products. HDPE has UV inhibitors embedded within the material and doesn’t absorb moisture due to its nonporous nature, which also means it is resistant to bacteria and odors.
This marine-standard material won’t warp, splinter, or diminish in color, even in harsh sun, rain, snow, or extreme temperatures. It resists scratches, moisture, and damage from saltwater, making it long-lasting and low-maintenance.
HDPE is eco-friendly, meaning it emits no VOCs or off-gasses. It is also very easy to maintain: Just use mild soap and warm water to clean it. Even rinsing it with a garden hose makes cleanup a cinch. HDPE is an excellent choice for outdoor cabinets because it’s tough and element-proof. Poly lumber, thanks to its exceptional durability, is built to last for generations.
What makes Bluestone’s Poly Cabinets Different?
Our designs are truly meant to stand the test of time. In addition to the heavy-duty nature of poly lumber, we further enhance the durability of our cabinets by using sliding dovetail joints, and we never weld any part of our poly products.
We use soft close slides/hinges for our drawers; this added safety and noise reduction is a key feature. All our hardware is stainless steel. We use corrosion-resistant components to ensure the longevity of our designs.
A functional design element we offer our customers is vents built right into the cabinets to ensure proper airflow. This means no moisture will pool inside your cabinets, and it also allows heat from your grill to circulate freely.
We make set-up a breeze by including hidden self-adjustable feet that only require a screwdriver to adjust. So, even if the surface beneath your cabinets is unlevel, you can easily adapt.
At Bluestone Poly, we want our customers to know that what they see (or don’t see) is what they get and that there are no hidden fees. The price we give is what you will receive!
How Are The Poly Cabinets Constructed?
The cabinets are constructed from ¾” poly sheets. The drawer boxes and the shelves are made from ½” material. CNC machinery is used to cut all the parts with precision and consistency. The cabinets are then held securely together by sliding dovetail joints and stainless steel screws.
How Does My Existing Grill Fit Into My Cabinets Configuration
Our cabinets work well with most charcoal, electric, and gas/propane grill systems and can easily be customized by the customer. But it is always good to check to be sure. We recommend contacting your local retailer with the specifics of your grill so they can verify for you.
Is it Difficult for the Customer to Install it?
Not at all! Your cabinets will come fully assembled with the exception for the door and drawer pulls; those items would be installed on site. Depending on the configuration of your order and your space for installation; the only thing you need to consider is how heavy the cabinets will be. We recommend having a friend help you move and maybe utilize a furniture lifting dolly.
Do You Provide Countertops?
We do not carry countertops. But when ordering a countertop via an outside source, rest assured that our poly cabinets are able to work with the style you choose. We suggest asking the experts at your countertop retailer if whatever surface you’re considering is the right fit for your cabinets and space.
